Climate change scenarios over Southeast Asia

چکیده
Southeast Asia is one of the world’s regions most vulnerable to climate change impacts with low-lying land, more severe floods and droughts, larger populations, higher dependency on agriculture for economic sector, low resilience communities. Therefore, a study how future will affect this region has been conducted, results are provided in paper. Projected surface temperatures total precipitation from baseline period 2013 up 2100 were investigated using Global Climate Model (GCM) Weather Research Forecast (WRF) v3.9.1.1 modelling systems under RCP4.5 RCP8.5 scenarios. The showed that projected increase both scenarios RCP8.5; however, was decrease. temperature by 0.93C 2.50C 8.5. Meanwhile, greatly varied monsoonal seasons. We conclude variables, particularly precipitation, could potentially vulnerability region.

Climate change and postglacial human dispersals in southeast Asia.
Modern humans have been living in Island Southeast Asia (ISEA) for at least 50,000 years. Largely because of the influence of linguistic studies, however, which have a shallow time depth, the attention of archaeologists and geneticists has usually been focused on the last 6,000 years--in particular, on a proposed Neolithic dispersal from China and Taiwan. Here we use complete mitochondrial DNA ...

whaling in the Southern Ocean is problematic. " The Japanese are still out catching fairly significant numbers of whales, and not just minkes, though that's what they're meant to be focusing on, " he commented. " If they stuck to their targets, and did their whaling as they say they do when they're at the IWC meetings, then I think they might have a little more support. They'd also need to do t...
متن کاملMulti-factor, multi-state, multi-model scenarios: Exploring food and climate futures for Southeast Asia
Decision-makers aiming to improve food security, livelihoods and resilience are faced with an uncertain future. To develop robust policies they need tools to explore the potential effects of uncertain climatic, socioeconomic, and environmental changes. Methods have been developed to use scenarios to present alternative futures to inform policy. Nevertheless, many of these can limit the possibil...
متن کاملAgricultural impact of climate change : A general equilibrium analysis with special reference to Southeast Asia
Capitalizing on the most recent worldwide estimates of the impacts of climate change on agricultural production, this paper assesses the economic effects of climate change for Southeast Asian countries through 2080. The results suggest that the aggregate impacts of agricultural damages caused by climate change on the global economy are moderate. However, the uneven distribution of productivity ...
متن کاملRegional climate change experiments over southern South America. II: Climate change scenarios in the late twenty-first century
We present an analysis of climate change over southern South America as simulated by a regional climate model. The regional model MM5 was nested within timeslice global atmospheric model experiments conducted by the HadAM3H model. The simulations cover a 10-year period representing present-day climate (1981–1990) and two future scenarios for the SRESA2 and B2 emission scenarios for the period 2...
